Job Description

An experienced Instrument Technician is sought by an engineering company in the Liverpool areaWorking on various customer sites your main responsibilities will include: -

  • Carry out diagnosis and correction of instrumentation, electronic and control issues related to both process and facilities equipment
  • Carry out calibration and maintenance of instrumentation and control systems
  • Accountable for maintaining, documenting service and maintenance work
  • On completion of engineering tasks, work status, including the root cause of the problem and any outstanding issues are to be feedback to the client and Service Manager
The successful candidate will either be HNC qualified or have served a recognized apprenticeship in Control and Instrument Engineering. You will need to able to read and interpret relevant engineering drawings, related specifications, quality standards andequipment manuals, and to follow work instructions and relevant plans and schedules. Good diagnosis and fault-finding skills relating to instruments and PLCs are essential. A Full UK Driving Licence is essentialCompex Certification would be a strong advantageThis is a field based role covering sites throughout the UK and some overnight stays will be required.
