Our purpose is supported by our 3 core values:Personal - we treat you as an individualPartnership - we go further togetherPerformance - we strive for moreWhat will you be doingWe are looking for an experienced Infrastructure Manager to lead our Infrastructure team, which covers databases, hosting, networking and AD management. The Infrastructure stack has undergone a technology transformation over the last 12-months, with themigration of services to M365/Azure hosting and the introduction of SDWAN across our sites. In order to further our transformation, the Infrastructure Manager will champion a cultural change, advocating the features of cloud computing and breaking down siloswithin delivery/support teams to establish and embed Agile working practices.As Site Reliability Manager, some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and implement the low-level Infrastructure Team Operating Model, working with the Technology Management Team to ensure wider Roles & Responsibilities are aligned. This should include a hearts and minds approach to effect the necessary culturalchange as part of our cloud & strategic partner strategies
  • Responsible for the delivery of infrastructure outcomes into the project portfolio. Ensuring business cases include infrastructure impact and project-aligned SMEs are available to support planning and delivery of all project lifecycle stages
  • Working with Enterprise & Infrastructure Architects, supporting design decisions to ensure designs are cost efficient and low friction to deliver
  • Responsible for the availability of non-production environments and the release management of deployments
  • Responsible for the transition managed services support to outsourced providers
To be successful in this role, you should have:
  • Experience of driving transformational change in culture/ways of working within an infrastructure engineering environment (adoption of Agile/DevOps and product-aligned structures)
  • Experience of managing both project and operational change; including estimating, resource allocation, status reporting and cost management
  • Experience in line-management of teams, including performance management and professional development of cloud infrastructure engineers
  • Strong focus on development and enablement, a leader that looks to remove blockers for their team and connect the right people together to solve problems.
  • Experience in hybrid structures and managing strategic service partners, developing a one-team mindset
  • Strong technical experience of the Microsoft/Azure ecosystem (Networking/solutions, Monitor, Licencing/Cost Management, IaaS/PaaS services) and, ideally, Infrastructure as Code (preferably Terraform)
