We have an exciting Opportunity for a Level 3 Infrastructure Engineer to join a blue chip organisation in Liverpool for an initial 6-12 month contract. Description1. Be the Infrastructure SPOC for the site / locations assigned to2. Serve as customer contact onsite network and computing problems / issues / projects / architectural discussions3. Be a technical coordinator of hands-on staff, including the 3rd parties, vendors etc. Coordinate to get the work completed4. Work with remote infrastructure team to diagnose and resolve issues and diagnoses mechanical, hardware, software and systems failures5. Performs on-site configuration, rack & stack, installation, end-user orientation, support, servicing, repair and/or installation of IT systems and networking equipment and software including routers, switches, wireless LAN, PBXs, firewalls, servers and providing cabling services6. Determines most cost effective repair/resolution to minimize customer downtime. Prepares reports for analysis of product failure trends and service ability issues. 7. Plans and Performs general infrastructure maintenance tasks at the assigned site / location in coordination with the remote support infrastructure teams and client managers for the site / locationSkills and Experience1. Minimum 5 years relevant experience in infrastructure / datacenter site support and management2. Relevant infrastructure certifications and training: Microsoft certifications, Network certifications, Storage & Backup certifications, OEM vendor certifications as applicable3. Good understanding of Enterprise class Network, Server and Storage/backup systems and supporting hardware (physical and virtual), software and tools4. Must be available to support during off office hours for critical issue5. Demonstrated ability to work both independently and with others6. High level of creativity and innovation in problem solving7. High level of analytical ability to deal with complex problems8. Responsible for solutions delivered by projects which can exceed 1 million dollars9.
