Job Description

`Industrial Electronics Engineer£33,280 plus overtime payMy client, an Electronics Repairs workshop is seeking an experienced Electronics Repairs Engineer to join their growing team within the workshop.The role will mainly be to work within the electronics repairs workshop but will also involve customer site repairs. The main purpose of the role will be to pay particular attention to variable speed drives and electric motor control panel fault findingand repair, both in the workshop and out on site.

  • Repairs to control equipment, drives, power supplies, temperature control and automation control equipment. Ensuring they are repaired to component level. Your experience should come with the following: -
  • Experience of industrial electronics theory and practice
  • Knowledge of electric motor theory and practice.
  • Knowledge with respect of the use of inverters and other motor control equipment in an industrial environment
  • Testing skills - to fault find to component level within control panels.
  • Testing skills - to fault find to component level on printed circuit boards.
  • To be able to repair printed circuit boards following fault diagnosis.
  • To be able to carry out control panel fault diagnosis on site as well as workshop.
  • To be able to manufacture and wire control panels from engineering drawings (without wiring schedules)
  • Carry a phone when on call and to be always contacted.
To apply you will have: -
  • Experience of working with a range of equipment including electric motors, inverters, and other industrial control equipment
  • Experience of repairing automation control equipment.
  • Experience of repairing electronic control equipment including motors and drives.
  • Carried out repairs to component level.
  • Experience of wire control panels is ideal.
  • You must have a full clean Driving Licence.
  • Knowledge of servo motors and drives (desirable)
  • Knowledge of PLCs (desirable)
