Job Description

A permanent opportunity for an experienced Import Manager has arisen for this long standing, established business. This is a challenging position based in a fast paced team that will offer good job variety, satisfaction and reward.Key duties will include:

  • Supervise the Imports Team.
  • Working with customers for sea and air import bookings.
  • Managing Customs Entries.
  • Dealing with Shipping lines and hauliers for FCL, LCL and RoRo shipments.
  • Ensuring all documentation is completed to meet internal, customer and legal requirements and transmit import custom entries via Destin8 and CNS.
  • Make the necessary arrangements as required to meet HM Customs & Excise requirements.
  • Track shipments and deal with any queries.
    • To be successful in this role, candidates must be able to display first class customer service skills, good communication and organisational skills with a keen eye for detail driving an excellence in operations.With a proactive approach and the ability to work on your own initiative, candidates must have excellent imports experience working within the freight forwarding industry along with good systems knowledge.This is an exciting opportunity to join an established organisation with a good brand that will give you full responsibility and make best use of all your freight forwarding experience.For further details contact Ross Recruitment.
