Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity available for anImport Customer Service Manager tojoin our Liverpooloffice. You will join us on a full-time, permanent basis. Containerships is also a European leader insustainable transport thanks to its fleet of LNG powered vessels and trucks.The Import Customer Service Manager RoleAs our Import Customer Service Manager, youwill work closely with the Head of UK Customer Service to lead and drive improvements in relation to the quality and productivity of operations and customer service. This will need to be achievedthrough the development of the customer service team, and ongoing review of core KPIs, processes and procedures.Your responsibilities as our Import Customer Service Manager will include:

  • Ensuring the department achieves recognised levels of productivity as related to operational functions and meets customer satisfaction
  • Reviewing productivity on the team and aligning with appropriate headcount & team structure
  • Ensuringoperations are run within KPI parameters and developing/maintaining relevant key performance indicator reporting tools
  • Maintaining thorough knowledge of internal systems & services, as well as legislation & maritime regulations
  • Performing yearly appraisals with team members and completing quarterly 1-2-1 meetings to ensure employees are engaged with the business
  • Developing inter-departmental communication and working with the Senior Management team
  • Developing close links with Head Office, Overseas Agencies, Suppliers and Customers
  • Attending regular off site meetings with customers for service reviews, and new customer integration
  • Maintaining a flexible approach to Customer Requirements in order to aid agency growth
  • Ensuringcharge recovery and dispute management are prioritised
To become our Import Customer Service Manager, youll need:
  • Educated to GCSE or equivalent - Minimum of grade C in English and Mathematics (Essential)
  • Degree in Business/Management or relevant experience at anequivalent level (Essential)
  • Conversant with Containerships & External Port Systems.
  • Thorough knowledge of Shipping process, procedures, rules & regulations
  • Proven background in shipping and logistics (Essential)
  • Team Management Experience (Essential)
  • Leadership & People Development Experience
