Job Description

ICT TECHNICIAN- Full time Salary range NJC 19 Grade 6 scp 19-22 £25,481 to £27,041The Governors of St Hilda’s wish to appoint an ICT Technician to assist the Network Manager with departmental organisation,planning of work schedules and assigning jobs. The successful candidate would become part of a department at an exciting time in the school’s development and become part of an enthusiastic and hard-working team.St Hilda’s, which is situated on the edge of Sefton Park in South Liverpool, is a welcoming and supportive community.   1. Provide friendly, professional and efficient first point of contact for staff and students on matters relating to the schools ICT service
  2. To facilitate the effective working and use of all computer-based systems in the school
  3. To set up, install and upgrade computer equipment as necessary
  4. To be familiar with major applications and systems such as word processing, spreadsheets, databases, graphics, internet and email and to provide on the spot’ assistance in resolving technical and practical problems in these areas as requested
  5. To see to the care, maintenance and repair of computer equipment and peripherals
  6. To assist in the administration of cloud platforms including SharePoint, Teams, Exchange etc.
  7. To support staff in the use of Microsoft 365 including SharePoint, Teams, Outlook, OneDrive etc.
  8. Undertake maintenance of ICT hardware
  9. To install, maintain and troubleshoot software applications
  10. To set up audio-visual equipment (DVD players, LCD projectors etc.) around the school
  11. To be familiar with the use of computer related peripherals such as scanners and digital cameras and provide support to staff and students in their use.
  12. To assist with the maintenance of the school network and troubleshoot client-side connection issues
  13. Receiving, checking and distributing ICT deliveries as required
  14. Work flexibly to meet the needs of the school and ICT department
