Job Description

HR OfficerAn exceptional opportunity has arisen to join one of North West’s leading housing associations. To provide support in the provision of the HR service to the Group to support core business; ensuring the mostsuitable working environment for employees focusing on best business practices and to improve quality and efficiencyLocation: Remote working in place with the need to attend CQ and Leasowe sites when requiredSalary: £28,966 per annumHR Officer Main Duties:

  • Work with the HR Team to provide day to day HR services to support the business ensuring employee matters are resolved quickly and effectively.
  • Ensure the Group follows current policies and procedures and that it complies with current legislation.
  • Support the Learning & Development Officer in identifying mandatory training and development opportunities for employees to enable fulfilment of roles across the Group.
  • Input and maintain accurate HR records using the Company HR portal as well as creating and storing any necessary paperwork to reflect changes.
  • Resolve people management issues in line with company policy, employment law and best practice.
  • Support Line managers with attendance and performance issues and performance plan maintenance.
  • Attend and service all meetings where HR support is required (Disciplinary/Grievance etc).
  • Contribute to an effective onboarding service for new starters inclusive of a full Induction programme.
  • Support with the preparation of the monthly payroll instruction for the finance team when required.
  • Collate HR information and reports as required by other departments.
  • Promote equality and diversity as part of the culture of the organisation.
  • Work within a confidential environment, where a relationship of mutual trust is essential, to ensure that commercially sensitive and/or confidential information is handled appropriately and remains secure.
HR Officer Requirements:
  • Experience of working in a HR Advisory role
  • Experience in the application of company HR policy and procedures
  • Good knowledge of Employment Legislation
  • Experience of working within a confidential environmentwhere a relationship of mutual trust is essential, to ensurethat commercially sensitive and/or confidential information ishandled appropriately and remains secure
  • Experience of working with MS Office.
  • Educated to A’ Level standard or equivalent or;
  • CIPD Qualification

  • A clear understanding of the role of ICT in service delivery.
