Job Description

Our mission is simple to help the world Love Mondays.Every week, thousands of people across the UK start a new joband its our job to help them get there.REED is a specialist provider of permanent, contract, temporary and outsourced recruitment solutionsWe require a People Partner to cover an existing workload within a major police force, based in Liverpool.This is an interim position for an initial 3-6 months with the potential to be extended, dependent on workload.Role Purpose:

  • To act as the People Partner for a designated client group, delivering an exceptional service which ensures their people practices demonstrate an understanding of the value of people by promoting personal responsibility and positive employee experiences,alongside the requirements of managing public money wisely.
  • Enhance People Decision Making: Proactively coach and influence stakeholders across the designated client group, role model being a catalyst for change, to engage and develop others to make more effective people decisions rooted in objective data and analysis.
  • Account Manager: Act as an account manager in the role, ensuring the wider people services team understand the voice of the organisation and provide solutions which lead to tangible benefits for organisation
  • Lead Change Projects: Deploy and embed change projects across the whole organisation, providing all necessary project management and change support and deliver agreed employee relations activities, to ensure that local benefits are achieved and sustained.
  • Provide guidance and direction to line managers, keeping appropriate documentation of actions, agreed plans and discussions for reference purposes, for complex and high risk case work (performance, discipline, grievance, ill health etc) to ensure that theline manager is appropriately supported and that all employees receive a consistent experience which is fully aligned with People Policy and Process.
Skills required to be successful in the role:
  • Business acumen; How to represent the value of people in different ways (e.g. skills, profit, capability, cost)
  • Digital working: Emerging technologies which make organisations more agile (e.g. Intelligent automation such as robotic process automation, extended reality, intelligent chat bots) and how to use these to enhance the people proposition.
  • Change: How to plan and deliver a project, and manage risk, resources and interdependencies to deliver outcomes
  • Organisational Development and design: How to design and deliver different organisation development interventions
  • Experience working with a diverse workforce.
  • Successful track record of driving and implementing change.
