Job Description

Our client, based in Merseyside, is currently recruiting for a Housing Manager on a fixed term contract for six months. This is offered on a mostly working from home basis, with an average of two days in the office per week.The position is due to start immediately on a full time basis. With an annual salary equivalent of £40,784.The ideal candidate will have experience of managing, coaching and supporting a team within social housing under any remit.Duties will include (but not limited to):

  • Work collaboratively with two Housing Managers providing coaching, mentoring and support to a team of Housing Officers
  • Support the team and managers in embedding change
  • Enable Officers to proactively manage their workload
  • Identifying areas for improvement and working to upskill staff
  • Manage staff Learning and Development needs, including identifying weaknesses and capabilities in staff
  • Identify areas of service provision which could put the customer or business at risk
  • Manage operational performance e.g. allocate work, monitor workload and run performance meetings
  • Assist in embedding changes made as the result of a restructure within the organization
Experience required:
  • Management in any social housing setting
  • Interpreting KPIs, and producing reports on this
  • Coaching staff to encourage constant improvement
Skills, knowledge and expertise required:
  • Maximising staff output and encouraging personnel growth
  • Working collaboratively with other managers in a mentoring capacity
Working hours:
  • 37 hours per week
  • Monday - Friday
