Job Description

Job Title: Higher Level Teaching AssistantLocation: South Liverpool Are you an experienced and dynamic Higher Level Teaching Assistant seeking an exciting full-time opportunity in the heart of South Liverpool Join our dedicated team as we strive to provide an outstanding education for our students.Key Responsibilities:Teaching and Learning:

  • Lead small group interventions and support the class teacher in planning and delivering high-quality lessons.
  • Provide effective support for students with diverse learning needs, differentiating instruction to ensure inclusivity.
Curriculum Development:
  • Contribute to the planning and development of the curriculum, bringing creativity and innovation to enhance the learning experience.
Classroom Management:
  • Assume responsibility for the overall management of the class in the absence of the teacher.
  • Implement and reinforce school policies regarding behaviour and discipline.
Assessment and Reporting:
  • Assist in the assessment process, providing valuable insights into student progress and helping to formulate targeted intervention strategies.
Professional Collaboration:
  • Collaborate with the teaching team to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Foster strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues, promoting a supportive school community.
Requirements:
  • Higher Level Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
  • Proven experience as an HLTA or in a similar role within a primary school setting.
  • Strong understanding of the national curriculum and effective teaching strategies.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to adapt to the evolving needs of the school environment.
  • Hold an enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to undertake a new one.
