Job Description

Were recruiting for a successful, established, reputable & expanding Liverpool Business in the Property, Facilities and Build environment and we need an experienced, agile and solution led Health, Safety, Quality & Environmental (HSQE) Manager to join their expert team based in stunning Liverpool city centre offices.A generalist Health, Safety Quality & Environmental Manager role, that needs a candidate with a wide breadth of professional well honed skills & experience. HSQE Purpose:Responsible for the Management of health safety and quality assurance across The Group. To coordinate working systems to ensure facilitating compliance with occupational health and safety (OSH) best practice and legislationwhilst ensuring safe working environments and the prevention of any injuries and accidents. To develop and maintain group quality system in accordance with current ISO standards. To develop and implement the group wide environment plan, setting and achievingcarbon reduction commitments.HSQE Responsibilities:

  • Create, implement and maintain OHS Management system with policies and procedures
  • Support employees on various safety-related topics and prepare educational training material on a regular basis (toolbox talks)
  • Review existing policies and procedures and develop and maintain the Group training matrix.
  • Implement ISO 45001:2018 and 9001:2015 accreditations and maintain the Brand standard.
  • Work with HR to set up new employee on-boarding process for safety and training.
  • Ensure all employees maintain their personal training objectives as agreed with line managers.
  • Manage training budgets and grants across the group and gain yearly CITB and other available training grants.
  • Review risk assessments and maintain specialist PPE i.e. harnesses, defibrillators, first aid, fire fighting equipment
  • Establish environmental working practices and carbon reduction commitments, report on progress and implementing across the group
  • Oversee the Group accreditation process including CHAS and Safe Contractor
Health, Safety, Quality & Environmental Manager Experience:This candidate essentially needs previous experience as a Safety Manager and must come with excellent knowledge of legislations and procedures. This organisation seeks to have more Environment input into the HSQE role & so applications with that experience& background are greatly welcomed.In addition you must have:
  • Experience in producing reports, writing policies and procedures for health and safety
  • Familiarity with conducting data analysis and reporting statistics.
  • A working knowledge of safety management information systems and quality assurance standards
This Health, Safety, Quality & Environmental employee must be a proactive, critical thinker with first class organisational skills & a strong communicator. Youll spend 50% of the day in / out of the office. Stunningcity centre offices close to Moorfields & a modern & forward thinking employer.Salary £38-45k.Mon-Fri 38hr wk - office open from 7am - 7pm but regular hours based around 8-9:30 starts & 5:30-6pm finish thus allowing flexibility on working pattern.Outstanding benefits: Private Healthcare, excellent Pension (5% Employer contribution) & bonus. 25 days hols (+ stats).
