Job Description

Are you looking for a role where you can have an impact on the growth, be involved in the creation of the marketing strategy whilst working flexibly at Home and in the office in a hybrid way.Our client are the experts in damage prevention and the most innovative recycled plastic manufacturer in the UK. Employing 88 staff they are the main supplier for many key contracts across the UK and Europe.Current revenues are in excess of £22 million and due to their niche, high-quality innovative products they have generated international revenues of circa £5 Million. Throughout the COVID-19 period, our client has continued to grow by showing resilience,and despite the challenges of this year they have remained on target and set to achieve their growth aspirations of over £30 million in the next three to five years.They pride themselves on the quality of their products and their safety within the business. As such, they have been received several accreditations.To help deliver these ambitious yet realistic plans for growth, they have now identified the need to invest in their Senior Leadership Team by appointing a Head of Marketing to lead and execute the client acquisition strategy which will significantly contributeto the growth strategy.This is a fantastic and unique opportunity for a fast paced and ambitious Head of Marketing to shape and drive the global strategy and delivery of a consistent and co-ordinated marketing strategy, significantly improving client engagement and acquisitionacross multiple channels.The Head of Marketing will be a self-sufficient, hands on and growth focussed individual with the proven ability to maximise penetration into core UK customers, expansion of export sales, entry into new market segments, new product introductions and overallfocus on driving profitable growth. Along with the Head of Sales and the senior leadership team, this individual will have a key role in the business by positively contributing to and setting the strategic direction of the business.Critical impact areas for the incoming Head of Marketing will include:

  • Strategic marketing assessments & analysis of current market sectors, potential growth sectors, key competitors, and general industry trends.
  • Create and execute a blended marketing strategy including but not limited to digital client acquisition, web education, company brand, impact at exhibitions and conferences (including both UK and international) as well as online webinars.
  • Develop the positioning for the current product range and identify gaps creating the supporting literature, case studies, sales aids, and sales force training.
  • Develop the brand strategy and management of the registered trademarks.
  • Along with the Head of Sales, evaluate the best go-to market channels - direct, distributor, agents, digital and / or ecommerce.
  • Drive the internal client acquisition strategy by linking the marketing strategy to incoming leads and able to track ROI and impact on revenue through to the CRM.
  • Working with advertising, design and PR agencies as needed to build a well thought through marketing communication mix.
  • Creating content and campaigns for appropriate trade and social media to build brand awareness and drive profitable growth in the target markets, both UK and internationally.
  • Maintain and continuously develop market awareness to drive innovation in the marketing team which develops their market position.
  • Manage the marketing team and recruit new members as the company grows.
  • Work as a strategic member of the SLT to contribute and drive profitable growth.
