Grounds Maintenance Operative required for ASAP start.6 month FTCSalary £19,650 - £20,043papro rata.We are currently recruiting for an experienced Grounds Maintenance Operative for a local public sector organisation, for a 6 month fixed term contract.Whilst a 6 month role initially, there is potential for the role to then become permanent.You will be working as part of a team maintaining public parks and spaces and taken on additional tasks where appropriate. Your role will consist of Undertake minor repair work such as painting or general maintenance within the public spaces. Suitable gardening work whilst working with appropriate machinery such as mowers, hedge cutters, strimmers etc. Making sure you are wearing your PPE where required safely. Litter picking, emptying bins and some cleaning where needed. Drive company vehicle to transport machinery or equipment when required. Work as part of a team to make sure the schedule within the area is covered. Take on additional training where needed.We are looking for an experienced Ground maintenance person who will have a good background in the above with the appropriate work experience.It is essential you have experience of using gardening sit on mowers, used gardening equipment (in a work capacity), understand health and safety, ability to undertake basic maintenance such as basic repairs, painting etc.Personally you will be a team player, have a can do and helpful attitude, be willing to help others and provide a positive attitude in public. You will be able to commit to at least 6 months and for this post we do require a driver.Salary £19,650 - £20,043papro rata.25 days holiday plus bank holidayspro rataMonday to Thursday 8am-4pm Friday 8am-3.30pm
