Job Description

To ensure the accuracy of, and compliance with, grant conditions of claims for grant funding received by the Public SectorClient DetailsThe organisation are a Public Sector entity with offices in LiverpoolDescriptionThe Grant Compliance Officers responsibilities include, but arent limited to;

  • Anticipating and meeting customer needs and expectations
  • Adapting our approach to recognise the diverse needs of our customers
  • Providing advice and support to assist customers achieve corporate objectives
  • Being proactive in organising workload so as to meet deadlines
  • Conducting high quality grant assurance work in respect of SIF grants, transport grants and other relevant grant funding streams, to provide assurance that claims for funding are accurate and comply with relevant grant conditions
  • Being alert to the risk of fraud, bribery and corruption
  • Promoting a culture of continuous improvement
  • Monitoring and reviewing the products we provide and how we deliver them
  • Challenging the status quo, both for our service and that of our customers
  • Ensuring delivery of quality service
  • Identifying and applying best practice in how we conduct our business
  • Commercial awareness - keep up to date with developments relevant to our customers
  • Contributing to the achievement of internal performance targets
ProfileThe Grant Compliance Officer should fit the following;Qualifications
  • Part-qualified accountant (CCAB or CIMA) or qualified accounting technician (AAT)
  • Anti-fraud, bribery and corruption qualifications
Experience
  • Extensive experience in grants/financial compliance work
  • Experience of developing and delivering high standards of customer service
Knowledge
  • Knowledge of grant funding regimes and claims processes
  • Awareness of fraud, bribery and corruption controls and their application
Skills
  • ICT skills, particularly Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Numeracy and literacy skills
  • Organisational and time management skills
