Job Description

Graduate Learning Support Assistant - Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) - MerseysideAre you a dedicated individual seeking valuable experience in the education sector Join Tradewind Recruitment as a Graduate Learning Support Assistant, collaborating with esteemed SEND schools across Merseyside. These institutions are in search of passionateindividuals to provide crucial support to students aged 3 to 19 with a diverse range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.The ideal candidate possesses a genuine enthusiasm for childrens education, an inclusive approach, and some prior experience working with children. As a key member of the team, you will contribute to creating an engaging and supportive learning environment.Responsibilities:

  • Assist the class teacher in delivering lessons and organising activities/resources.
  • Engage with students on a 1:1 or small group basis to provide tailored support.
  • Evaluate pupils in alignment with the learning objectives outlined in their Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCP).
  • Collaborate effectively with teachers, fellow Teaching Assistants, Special Educational Needs Coordinators (SENCOs), and external agencies.
Requirements:
  • Hold a degree in any subject.
  • Demonstrate some prior experience working with children.
  • Possess an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or a willingness to apply for one).
  • Legally entitled to work in the UK.
