Reporting to the Laboratory Director the successful candidate will be responsible for delivering technical and quality leadership to the Groups Analysis Division through theestablished management structure including; UK Quality Team, Group Technical Team, Regional GMs, Country GMs and key M&M Laboratory Managers appointed across the Group. Responsible for providing technical and management expertise, insight & troubleshootingexpertise, chemical analysis insight and leadership to AHKs network of Global Laboratory operations and its established outsourcing services through inspirational leadership in a consultative styleAbout usAlfred H Knight are an independent provider of inspection and testing services. • 10 years minimum experience in classical inorganic analytical chemistry, specific to metal and mineral commodities
• Has previous work experience within the Base Metals and Minerals industry commercial laboratory management environment
• In-depth knowledge of international laboratory standards and guidelines related to the industry.
• Experience in the management and implementation of ISO EN: 17025: 2017
• Understanding of the commercial transactions undertaken within the industry and the corresponding importance of operational and technical execution
• Geographical awareness and cultural sensitivity. Proven ability to adapt to new industries/ environments and workplace cultures
• Leadership of and/or participation in projects and/or programmes
• Worked within an international matrix organisation, working across multiple countries, time zones and functions
• Experience of working with and managing a broad cross-section of people in terms of varied levels of seniority, technical expertise and cultural backgrounds
• Evidence of having embraced new challenges, quickly familiarising oneself in a new company in terms of company organisation structure, business goals and internal/external stakeholders
