Job Description

Geography Teacher Location: West Derby, LiverpoolStart Date: March 2024About the school: A vibrant and inclusive secondary school located in West Derby, Liverpool. Their dedicated staffand strong community partnerships contribute to our reputation for excellence in education.Position Overview: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Geography Teacher to join the teaching team. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching pupils between keystage 3 and keystage 5, delivering engaging lessons thatinspire curiosity and understanding of the world around us.Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality Geography lessons to students across keystage 3 to keystage 5, utilising a variety of teaching methods and resources.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes active learning and student engagement.
  • Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to support their academic development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the development of the Geography curriculum and extracurricular activities.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a collaborative approach to education.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
  • Bachelors degree or higher in Geography or a related field.
  • Previous experience teaching Geography to students at keystage 3 to keystage 5 level is preferred.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Geography education.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
