Job Description

Role: Full Stack Developer (Java & JavaScript)Salary: £46-55k + Benefits PackageLocation: Remote working (required to attend Head Office in Liverpool occasionally)Benefits: Pension, Flexible Working, Business Casual Dress code, Discounted City Centre Parking, Discounts of up to 25% on various Bars & Restaurants in Liverpool City Centre Are you a Full Stack Developer with commercial experience of developing Java and mobile systems with a good understanding of Java and JavaScript languages covering the skills below:

  • Java Spring Boot
  • Java Script specifically React or Node.js
  • React Native
  • Agile Working Practices
  • Kafka
  • ElasticSearch, Logstash, Kibana
  • Mongo
  • Jenkins
  • Ansible
  • GIT or similar.
    • Our client is a large, successful, and reputed services business who require an experienced full stack developer to join a busy agile team. In this role you will be involved in the development, support and continual improvement of their Java and Mobile applications including the development of backend services, modern front-end websites and mobile applications, utilising automated testing, build pipelines and automated deployments.As a full stack developer, you will follow agile development practices such as daily scrum meetings, sprint planning and retrospectives. Continuous Delivery is at the core of their development approach. You will contribute to overall system design and delivery of quality code to defined standards. The role requires the ability to work collaboratively in a scrum team, with responsibility for the delivery and support of modern software solutions.
  • Test Driven Development
  • Paired programming, as required
  • Providing coaching and mentoring to less experienced developers
  • Working collaboratively across IT and Business functions to deliver solution, or resolve underlying production system issues
  • Must be able to work closely with solution design, business analysts and product owners
  • Must be able to work with Business Representatives, providing communications in clear non-technical language.
    • To be successful in this role you will need to have excellent problem-solving ability and fault analysis. You will have a proven ability to work independently whilst managing and prioritising your own workload as well supporting the wider team with incident and problem management.Other skills of interest include DevOps, Linux experience, Shell scripting, Maven and Microservices.
