Job Description

A manufacturer of sustainable eco-friendly household cleaning and laundry products is currently looking to recruit an experienced Formulation Chemist to their Merseyside based technical team, to work on projects for major retailer accounts.Key responsibilities:

  • Work as part of the research and development technical team.
  • Develop new formulations in line with briefs to fulfil the product requirements and performance verses relevant benchmarks.
  • Develop new formulations to match the target cost and review existing formulations to optimise in terms of performance and cost.
  • Be involved in the transition of newly developed products into full scale production.
  • Work with the technical team to complete regulatory testing on current and new formulations.
  • Completion of all necessary paperwork required for product launches and the compilation of associated reports, documents and files regarding testing and product formulations.
  • Engage with suppliers to understand new chemical advancements and trends in the market.
  • Monitoring new products, chemicals and trends within the market.
    • Knowledge and experience:
  • Degree qualified.
  • Experience of household and laundry cleaning products formulation development.
  • Experience of working in a laboratory environment.
  • Computer literate.
