Job Description

TRC Group is recruiting for a forklift driver with a counterbalance and bendi license. This position is based in Liverpool, near the docks and is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a good, reliable work ethic, that is wanting to get settledinto a new company!Pay Rate: £12 p/h (8hrs paid - 1 hrs unpaid lunch)Job Type: Temp-perm for the right candidateShift Pattern: Monday to Friday WK 1 - 6am-3pm / WK 2 - 9am-6pmLocation: L20Duties:

  • Ensure the terminals safe operation; maintain awareness for personal and co-workers safety. And ensure knowledge and compliance with all policies and procedures.
  • Operate the FLT Truck as required.
  • Perform the FLT Safety Checks before use.
  • Perform loading/unloading of road tankers, wagons and containers.
  • Despatch of e-Commerce goods.
  • Complete daily site cleaning duties.
  • Ensure that all terminal equipment, including safety devices and systems, are functioning correctly and report any equipment failures to the supervisor.
  • Perform daily walk around inspections to identify any potential risks and ensure good housekeeping standards are maintained.
  • Communicate product outages and equipment downtime to appropriate individuals.
  • Participate in emergencies as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Strong team player with the ability to work independently.
  • Strong IT skills.
  • Valid FLT Licence
  • General knowledge of terminal, warehouse or production environment.
  • Ability to perform all mathematical calculations with or without the use of a calculator on delivery and collection paperwork.
  • Ability to work outside for long periods in any weather condition.
  • Ability to work overtime as necessary.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
