Job Description

RotheramCarrington Recruitment Group are currently seeking a temporary to permanent financial accountant to work for a very well-established organisation based in Liverpool to start in the next 2 weeks. The role will be a hybrid of workingat home with a couple of days working in the office. The role is based in Central Liverpool with an easy commute by public transport with a 5 minute walk from the train station.This role will be reporting to the Financial Controller and responsible for the following duties:

  • Responsible for supporting the Financial Controller in preparing the statutory accounts and P&L for several companies within the Group
  • Preparation of half year and full year financial statements under IFRS
  • Ensuring that all balance sheet accounts for each entity reconcile, highlighting any queries
  • Timely preparation and submission of statutory reporting under IFRS & UK GAAP requirements
  • Analysis of the financial statements and other reports, providing concise explanations for variances
  • Responsible for ensuring that bank accounts are managed, reconciliations are prepared and information is available and forecast balances within each bank account
  • Liaising with the Groups external and internal auditors, taking ownership of prepared REPORTS, and responding to audit queries
Skills/Experience
  • ACCA/ACA/CIMA Qualified/Part-Qualified or Qualified by Experiencee
  • Proven experience in preparing statutory accounts and balance sheet accounting
  • Excellent communication skills as you will be liaising with stakeholders across the Group
  • Strong Excel & analysis skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Available to start in the next 2 weeks
Salary/Benefits
  • £35k to £45k per annum
  • 25 days plus bank holidays
  • Remote working available with a couple of days per week required in the office
