Job Description

The Financial Accountant is to support the Financial Accounting Lead in the development of an efficient and effective accountancy function for the Group.Client DetailsA North West based regeneration group with its Head office in Liverpool City Centre. This organisation has a strong commitment to creating stable and thriving communities achieved through their support, investment, development and regeneration.DescriptionThe duties of a Financial Accountant are:

  • To support in the production of group and subsidiary financial statements and to provide all supporting schedules required to assist internal and external audit
  • To support in the implementation and review of financial accounting systems for providing financial reporting
  • Support the implementation of appropriate financial controls, policies and procedures for the Group
  • Lead on the production and submission of information for the regulator and other statutory returns.
  • Provide comprehensive sound financial information and advice to internal and external stakeholders
  • Support the business in understanding financial risk through the production of regular and meaningful performance management reports by collating and preparing relevant data and to prepare ad hoc financial and performance reports as required
  • Ensure fixed assets are accounted for accurately and in line with accounting policies
ProfileThe successful candidate for Financial Accountant should have:
  • CIMA, ACCA or equivalent qualifications
  • Strong Accountancy practice knowledge
  • Track record in delivering operational service which have resulted in measurable business benefits
  • Relevant experience in a large and complex organisation/function
  • Demonstrable governance and financial compliance management experience to ensure robust and compliant operations.
  • Sound knowledge of Accounting Standards and good practice
