Job Description

A global brand with a site in Liverpool city centre recruiting for a part qualified Financial Accountant to join their growing team.Client DetailsAn international business with a multi-billion pound turnover, you will work in a diverse team, a demanding and fast paced environment, and get plenty of exposure at director level. The company also offers a good work/life balance, competitive salary andexcellent bonus package.DescriptionAs Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for:

  • Driving performance across multiple areas of the business and improve/reduce cost impacts
  • Supporting the budgeting process for costs
  • Analyse cost developments, including gap analysis and provide recommendations
  • Preparing reports on performance information
  • Payroll reconciliation on cost centres and general ledger level
  • Supporting the team and collaborating with wider business to ensure all local regulations and standards are being met
  • Helping improve controls and processes
  • Be the primary contact for internal and external contacts related to compliance matters (audit, VAT, tax etc)
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Review of P&L
  • Working closely with stakeholders in exceeding all AR/AP metrics
  • Engaging with credit controllers and PTP team to improve collections and timely payments
ProfileThe successful applicant must have:
  • Experience working in a financial accounting role
  • Knowledge of tax and statutory audits
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Studying towards CIMA/ACCA and be almost qualified
  • Knowledge of IFRS standards would be advantageous
  • Knowledge of SAP would be advantageous
  • Able to work in a fast paced business and work well under pressure
  • Strong communication skills, able to work well in a team and work efficiently under pressure
  • Hands on approach
