Job Description

Finance Manager / Wavertree, Liverpool / Salary £55,000 - £60,000We have a great opportunity for an experienced, self-sufficient and hands-on Finance Manager to join our privately owned, SME client in Wavertree. Our client have an established position within their market, and now due to continued growth across all theirdivisions they are looking for an experienced Finance Manager to join their team.Key responsibilities:

  • Reporting directly into the MD and owner, you will lead coach and manage a small finance team in this hands-on role.
  • Your role will be broad and varied, responsible for overseeing all day-to-day financial aspects of this growing business.
  • You will prepare Quarterly management accounts and run year end close.
  • Manage P&L and balance sheet, reporting to the management team.
  • Prepare quarterly VAT returns.
  • Process Payroll for all permanent staff monthly.
  • You will support and oversee the transactional team, who will be processing high volume sales invoices (via Sage), also submitting invoices on client portals, ensuring accuracy for payment.
  • Credit control and weekly payment reviews
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Cash flow reporting.
  • Manage the analysis and insights of data per site, reviewing performance, to enable more detailed forecasting.
  • Manage the fuel cards and trackers for fleet of vehicles. There is scope for you to provide greater insights and analysis here to generate operational efficiencies also.
Key skills:
  • Previous experience working within a similar broad, hands on role, within an SME environment would be desirable.
  • Team management experience
  • This role would suit a candidate who is self-sufficient and comfortable working within an autonomous role.
  • Dynamic and flexible communication skills, confident communicating with both internal and external stakeholders including the broader operations.
This role is a full-time permanent position, working 9am-5pm Monday to Friday.
