Job Description

EXTRUSION TECHNICIANPLASTICS INDUSTRYLIVERPOOL AREA4on4off 6-6<£32,000+ Training, Pension and HolidaysDue to an increase in customer demand in our clients business, they are now recruiting for an Extrusion Technician to join their team in the Liverpool Area on a 4on4off based position.This role offers the opportunity to work for a true independent market leader and established global brand. With progressive training and development this role allows potential promotion in the longer term. With a long established presence on a UK wide scaleand a consistent order book this opportunity will appeal to a candidate looking for job security and a technical challenge.Role Description

  • Recommending and/or implementing safety improvements / collaboration on Risk Assessments.
  • Ensuring that the line is manufacturing to the correct standard/specification.
  • Assisting Engineers to eliminate issues by utilising structured problem-solving tools and techniques.
  • Ensuring machines are running to the correct / optimised parameters, including attainment of target throughput levels.
  • Identification and implementation of opportunities for product optimisation.
  • Involvement in product trials and projects.
  • Training of operators and passing on relevant knowledge.
  • Carry out basic routine PPM directed by Engineering.
  • Assist Engineering with breakdowns where possible.
  • Collaborate with Engineering on improvements activities.
  • Long-Term progression available, with training offered in H&S, First Aid, Engineering etc.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Level 2 qualification in Engineering (covering mechanical and electrical) or working towards.
  • Previous experience within the manufacturing industry
  • Previous experience in extrusion/ plastics would be advantageous.
