We are recruiting for someone to join the Environment Agencys Portfolio Delivery Office team as Personal Assistant to two Deputy Directors. Within this role you willalso work closely with the wider senior leadership team to ensure the smooth running of the team. Your role will involve diary and email management, preparing meetings, action log management, preparing documents, handling enquiries and requests, managing aforward look system and organising and developing a variety of data and information. You will liaise with a wide range of people both internally and externally, and you will be encouraged to be innovative and proactive in your approach, looking for opportunitiesto do things more efficiently where we can. You will have the ability to carry out a combination of assigned tasks, mostly unsupervised. We are a busy and dispersed team so you will need to be able to adapt to changing demands when prioritising your work.The role will be hybrid with the opportunity to work both in an office and at home. The Team: Portfolio Delivery Office is part of Major Projects and Programmes. As part of MPPD we focus our energy on ensuring we have the right balance of operational resources- people, skills, knowledge, process and technology - to set the stage for collaborative, efficient delivery. Skills Required:Youll have experience of giving excellent customer service primarily working as a PA or in a similar role.Youll be excellent at building and sustaining working relationships as well as working in teams.Youll be well organised, able to manage yourself and your own workload effectively whilst working under your own initiative.Youll have good written and spoken communication skills and youll be able to act as an initial point of contact, communicating and filtering information so it is conveyed accurately, efficiently and in a timely manner.You will possess effective communication skills and be able to build strong networks with other areas, national teams and organisations.You will be able to pick up new IT systems quickly and be capable using IT services such as Microsoft Office programmes (for example MS Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel and SharePoint etc.).This is a national position, location not specific, there maybe occasional travel to support the Deputy Directors and to work with the wider PA Community of Practice.Typical qualifications and experience: five GCSEs at Grade C or above or equivalent (including English Language or equivalent), NVQ Business Administration Level 2, or suitable clerical experience. Administrative experience with a good knowledge of and experiencein using Microsoft Office.
