Job Description

We are looking for talented Plumbers to welcome into our Central Operations team as Estates Team Leaders,to help us provide an outstanding service to the students who call US Home.You will be responsible for a small team of plumbing specialists, and will support our teams to maintain a well-kept, safe, secure, compliant, and efficient environment across your region. This includes ensuring your team provides an effective plumbing servicequickly and efficiently so that we can provide our students with a world-class and responsive service.We have 3 regions available:

  • Scotland (Aberdeen, Glasgow and Edinburgh)
  • North East of England (Leeds, Sheffield, Durham and Newcastle)
  • North West of England (Manchester and Liverpool)
You will be able to:
  • Take responsibility for ensuring compliance with all relevant Health and Safety assessments and monitoring, ensuring compliance across the region
  • Support the Regional Engineering Manager to build and develop a motivated, engaged, and high-performance team
  • Support the training and development of your team members to help them reach their potential
  • Take accountability for your team`s performance, actively participating in performance management conversations and personal development plans
  • Conduct inspections of all work areas including vehicles and plant rooms to ensure that high standards are maintained
You will lead and motivate your team to:
  • Install and repair plumbing and heating systems
  • Locate and rectify a wide range of plumbing faults feeding back common causes for future planning
  • Undertake general repair and maintenance works as well as installations as required, including but not limited to, UVHW systems, heating systems, suited locking systems both electrical and mechanical, windows / doors, patch repairs in walls
What we`re looking for in you:
  • You will be able to confidently lead your team to maintain exceptional customer service
  • You will be qualified in plumbing installation to a minimum of City and Guilds level 3, or NVQ Level 2 equivalent
  • You will have experience maintaining domestical and commercial plumbing installations, and working within plant rooms
  • You will communicate effectively, by actively listening, making points logically, and by using appropriate language, tone, and gesture
  • You remain calm and focussed, even in difficult or pressurised situations
  • You are detail-orientated, nothing escapes your eye
  • You understand and respect the diversity of others` cultures, beliefs, and backgrounds
The other stuff:
  • You will be working 5 days a week, on 8-hour shifts between 8am and 8pm Monday -Sunday
