Job Description

Enterprise Architect - to 53k + BenefitsWeb, Cloud, Virtualisation, Networking Group Policy, Azure, InfrastructureEnterprise Architect with (Web, Networking, Virtualisation & Cloud experience) required to deliver enterprise and solutions level architecture across a large, complex organisation, specifically within public cloud and hyperconverged environments.The Enterprise Architect role will help drive the development of the IT Strategy & Roadmap for the Group, ensuring Governance of all infrastructure change, from within a complex Enterprise.Enterprise Architect - About the role:As an Enterprise Architect you will be responsible for developing and maintaining current and future views of the infrastructure providing effective coordination for IT strategic initiatives and development and improving cost efficiencies.The Enterprise Architect will take responsibility for existing technologies, internal functions and development strategies within the Group, in order to drive standards, processes and best practice, suggesting improvementsEnterprise Architect - About the company:.Do you want to be part of a successful organisation, that strives to offer stable, sustainable and thriving communities in their local area. They are investing in improving their services to best meet the changing needs of their customers.Enterprise Architect - Key Responsibilities:Analysis of the current technical environment and identify opportunities to recommend solutions for improvement / lead the remediation to manage risk and drive operational excellence of existing serviceAct as a design authority and provide an assurance role, ensuring all architecture activities and deliverables (in-house and external outsourced) are produced to a high quality.Provide architectural consulting expertise and direction to leadership Team and across IT departments, by effectively articulating the principles of infrastructure technology strategy and promoting best practice.Evaluate existing technologies, internal functions and development strategies within the Group in order to drive standards, processes and best practices, and suggesting improvements where applicable.Collaborate with infrastructure and application service owners in defining technology roadmaps, leading to a cohesive future state vision providing leadership, expert technical advice and counsel in Enterprise Architecture (Infrastructure / Application)Responsible for the architecture direction and strategy; definition of the technical aspects of projects, to include timely production of architectural designs, high level design, low-level design and blueprints.Conduct research on emerging infrastructure technologies and trends and their applicability to the organisation, and make recommendations that increase cost effectiveness and infrastructure flexibility, as well as infrastructure architecture best practiceWork with different departments including Development, Infrastructure and 3rd parties, to define suitable design patterns for new services to be deployed including IaaS, PaaS and SaaS as optionsEnterprise Architect - Essential Technical Skills:Ability to deliver enterprise and solutions level architecture across a large and complex organisation, especially within public cloud and hyperconverged environments.Demonstrable experience in design and delivery of a variety of Solution Architecture and strategies for the Cloud, comfortable across the entire technology stack.Experience of managing architecture governance forums and ensuring the agreement and maintenance of an organisations overall enterprise architecture.An in-depth knowledge and understanding of virtualisation and storage technologies, hyper-converged solutions, disaster recovery and network architectureDemonstrable experience of being responsible for the definition and the design of the technical architecture for a large organisation/group structure.Ability to engage with staff, peers, board members, external partners to build relationships based on honesty, trust, respect and integrity, and have an ability to inspire confidenceEnterprise Architect - Benefits:Salary up to £53k25 days holidayPensionHealthcareLife AssuranceAdditional benefitsSuccessful candidates must have an ability to take a high / low level design and provide architectural expertise in delivering enterprise solutions across a complex technical environment.
