Dean of Foundation Studies£49,401The City of Liverpool College are recruiting for a Dean of Foundation Studies. This position is a key leadership role and will provide expertise and manage the curriculum design and implantation or provision across Foundation English and Maths. Working withthe Director of Academic Studies and Higher Education, the role will lead and support the implementation of a consistent research-informed pedagogical approach to all Foundation Studies English and maths programmes with significant summative assessment, drawingupon international best practice and regional and national policies and expectations.The successful post-holder will have a track record of excellence in operational management of English and/or maths provision.The City of Liverpool College currently serves more than a third of all 16-18 year olds in Liverpool, and educates almost 12,000 learners each year. We offer the widest choice of subjects in the city, with our students engaged in a broad range of academicand vocational courses at all levels, all delivered to the highest standard of learning. The size and breadth of the college puts us at the heart of the city and brings us in contact with partners and stakeholders of all kinds, including large corporationswith familiar household names, as well as ongoing collaborations with Liverpool City Council. We work closely with local training providers and employers in the private, public and voluntary sectors, offering the widest range of further education courses,all offering practical experience as part of the programme.The post will be a member of the Wider Leadership Team (WBL) and will manage an Assistant Deans of Foundation Studies The role itself from time to time deputise for the DirectorThe successful candidate will have proven ability to consistently embed robust and researched informed strategies, good understanding of OFSTED and have robust knowledge of study programme strategies and associated national expectations and policies.
