Job Description

Job Title: Data EngineerSalary: £40,000 - £45,000Location: LiverpoolAs a Data Engineer, you will be an integral part of our clients data transformation journey. The team is rapidly growing so you will be coming in at the forefront of the team. Your primary responsibility will be to design, develop, and maintain the datainfrastructure while migrating from on-prem to the cloud. You will work closely with digital and executive members of the company throughout the process.Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain robust data pipelines, ensuring the efficient extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) of data from various sources.
  • Communicate with technical and non - technical stakeholders within the business.
  • Optimise data pipelines and ETL processes for performance, reliability, and scalability.
  • Work closely with other data analysts within the company
  • Work with visualisation tools, ideally Power BI, to create insightful and interactive dashboards and reports for business stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of a cloud-based data infrastructure, leveraging cloud technologies (AWS / Azure) where applicable.
The ideal candidate will…
  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with SQL for data manipulation, querying, and optimisation.
  • Proficiency in Python programming and experience with data manipulation.
  • Bonus: Experience working with cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and knowledge of their data engineering and analytics services.
  • Strong experience in building and maintaining ETL processes
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Have a strong educational background with grades to show.
  • Have experience in a project-based work environment.
