Job Description

The position is required to assist in the processing and acceptance of export bookings in compliance with the rules and regulations, whilst ensuring all transport requirements are covered in relation to customers requirements. You will also be the firstpoint of call for all customers, making sure they are happy with the service and all queries are dealt with.Client DetailsThe client is a multi national shipping business with depots all over the world. They need customer service coordinators to come in and look after the transportation of the goods in their charge. They are a huge company with unbelievable pay structures,office environments and work life balances.DescriptionThe key responsibilities of said customer service coordinator are as follows:

  • Working collaboratively with other departments, colleagues and countries to deliver a quality customer service to their customers to meet with their booking requests & requirements
  • To acknowledge or respond to requests from both internal and external customers efficiently, politely & professionally
  • To ensure bookings are created correctly by offshore team and are confirmed to customers within our agreed KPIs
  • Challenging working practices and process by innovative ideas to continuously improve their way of working
  • To ensure any costs incurred are recorded and where applicable recovered from the customer
ProfileThe successful candidate will have skills such as:
  • Must have experience within a shipping company
  • Great knowledge of IT programs including Office
  • Knowledge of logistics and supply chain systems
  • Understanding of IMDG code would be beneficial
  • Worked within a customer service office before
  • Experience on the telephone and dealing with customers
  • Extreme attention to detail
  • Ability to multi task
