Job Description

Although our client is based in Liverpool, the role will be predominantly home-based with occasional visits to the office when required. Our client is looking for a Credit Controller to join them on a 6-month contract. The role also offers flexible workingand an excellent benefits package.THE ROLEYoull carry out financial and administrative duties to ensure the effective recovery of debt from sundry debtors, to support Customer Services.Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out the required financial and administrative activity to recover debt from sundry debtors, including the production and issue of accurate and timely invoices, liaising with debtors to resolve queries and ensure prompt payment and maintaining financialrecords, adhering to financial controls and maintaining the integrity of the general ledger in line with accounting deadlines
  • Provide clear, supportive and accurate advice to debtors and colleagues in relation to credit control procedures, escalating as appropriate to ensure effective resolution
  • Maintain financial system records including inputting and updating credit control records to ensure the retention of accurate data, investigating and resolving issues in line with agreed procedures
  • Develop effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders as appropriate, to resolve issues and queries, escalating for line management intervention as required
  • Ensure adherence to financial controls and internal business processes to effectively support Customer Services
  • Respond flexibly to any necessary changes in work priorities and undertake other duties when required to support the effective operation of the service
  • Ensure that all data protection requirements are met in accordance with the Group’s policy, procedures and statutory requirements
THE PERSON
  • You will ideally have experience in credit control/chasing debt and be proficient in the use of Microsoft Exel
  • You will be customer-focused with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written showing the ability to meet the needs of a dynamic and demanding role
  • You will have excellent attention to detail with the ability to work under pressure and deliver to strict deadlines
  • You will be available to commit to a 6-month role
