Job Description

A Credit Control Supervisor is being recruited for a permanent vacancy in Liverpool.Client DetailsA global market leader in manufacturing, this business based in Liverpool is recruiting for a Credit Control Supervisor to join an established accountancy function and oversee the day to day finance transactions as well as monthly reporting. This company has operations across over 10 countries and works with some of the worlds top blue chip companies.DescriptionReporting to the Group Finance Manager, your main duties will be:

  • Be responsible for training, managing and providing guidance to the credit control/sales ledger team of 8
  • Ensure that credit risk is understood and controlled, cash collection is maximised and that quarterly targets are met
  • Review, update and analyse the accounts receivable ledger on a daily basis
  • Determine the most appropriate ways to resolve outstanding accounts and agree and monitor payment terms and plans where appropriate, personally handling problem accounts
  • Employ creative solutions to customer disputes, handle customer relationships with sensitivity and work closely with the commercial teams to resolve issues
  • Ensure credit control procedures are followed and assist in the further development of the credit control function, designing and implementing new credit control procedures, to support the expected growth of the business
  • Advise on the need to pursue payment through legal action and, where agreed, refer to the account to our debt recovery litigators
  • Maintenance of the companys bad debt reserves demonstrating an understanding of the associated accounting principles
  • Managing a workload transition from Europe and centralising in a service centre in Liverpool
    • ProfileWe are looking for:
  • A seasoned, passionate and influential Credit Control Supervisor
  • Extensive experience of dealing with commercial teams, comfortable leading discussions and acting in an advisory capacity to achieve collaboration
  • Someone that takes full accountability and has the tenacity to independently find solutions with a sense of urgency
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Experience of successful process changes and change management
  • Communication and relationship building are vitally important
  • Excellent organisation and planning skills with the ability to work to strict deadlines whilst maintaining quality
  • ICM qualified or similar demonstrable experience, familiar with high volume, high invoice value sales ledger
