Job Description

Contracts Manager - FlooringJob Title: Contracts Manager - FlooringIndustry Sector: Flooring Contractors, Retail Showrooms, Builders Merchants, Distribution, Carpets, Vinyl Flooring and Wooden FlooringLocation: Liverpool or surrounding areasRemuneration: £32,000 - £38,000 + BonusBenefits: Comprehensive benefits packageThe role of the Contracts Manager - Flooring will involve:

  • Contracts manager position, managing the installation process of residential and commercial
  • Monitoring all site activity; organising all site workers, collating risk assessments and carrying out health and safety checks
  • Booking in site surveys and attending for bigger projects
  • Acting as the main point of contact for the client
  • Organising the delivery of all materials that will be needed on site and ensuring they arrive on time
  • Keeping all works moving smoothly and ensuring that project deadlines are adhered to, whilst maintaining project cost plans
  • Liaising with clients and providing reports for the project
  • Attending pre-contract meetings and progress meetings with clients
  • Managing projects ranging in value from £1k to £500k
The ideal applicant will be a Contracts Manager - Flooring with:
  • Must have man management experience within the construction industry
  • Ideally will have knowledge of the flooring market sector, carpet tiles and vinyl flooring
  • Domestic and contract flooring industry background would be advantageous
  • Must be a resilient individual who is able to manage site installers
  • Must have excellent communication skills across all levels both written and verbal
  • Professional and highly organised
  • Computer literate
  • Full UK driving license
