Job Description

Adele Carr Financial Recruitment is managing the recruitment process of a national, service provider in Liverpool who are keen to appoint a commercially minded, Management Accountant on a full time, permanent basis.Joining this fast-paced organisation, you play a pivotal role supporting the senior management team with management accounts, budgeting and forecasting.The ideal applicant will be a fully qualified accountant, (ACCA/CIMA/ACA), who is familiar to working with minimal supervision, producing month end management accounts in a high volume,multi-site environment. You will be a confident team player who is capableof driving change, leading process improvements.Working alongside various stakeholders, you will be a well-organised, commercially astute individual who is confident in taking ownership, presenting financial data, influencing others whilst producing a high standard of work.The successful new appointment will be responsible for:

  • Providing essential support to the Finance Manager, supporting the commercial and finance team with financial management and performance reporting, including comprehensive variance analysis
  • Preparation of monthly revenue accounts, accruals and prepayments, balance sheet reconciliations
  • Production of the weekly income forecasts / KPI reports
  • Co-ordinating regular management accounts review meetings, forecast negotiations or commercial negotiation
  • Business partnering - support monthly P&L reviews with operations
  • Provide detailed cost centre management
  • Help drive financial focus and improved operational efficiency
  • Supply chain accounting - reviewing of the income and supply chain costs
The ideal applicant, will be:
  • Able to demonstrate experience of working in a fast paced, changing environment
  • Proven ability to present financial information to non-financial managers in a confident manner
  • Proven analytical and reporting skills
  • A proactive, self-motivated indivudual with excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Capable of working well under pressure and meeting deadlines
  • A solid team player with the skills to manage, develop and implement new working practices and processes
  • Possess leadership qualities and enjoy sharing ideas, supporting others
  • Strong MS Excel skills, knowledge of ERP system e.g. Oracle, SAP, CODA
