Consultant in Neuro-aneasthesia and Critical CareDo you want to be part of an OUTSTANDING Trust, and an organisation that has achieved Investor in People GOLD .Do you want to work in Trust that has gained Anaesthesia Clinical Services Accreditation.We are seeking an ambitious, highly trained and committed Consultant in Neuro-anaesthesia to join our existing team at the Walton Centre.Applications are invited for Consultant in Neuro-anesthesia & Neuro Critical Care at The Walton Centre NHS Foundation Trust, Liverpool. The post is being advertised for 10 Programmed Activities (PAs) but it is expected that further PAs will be available to the successful candidates after discussion.The post involves daytime sessions in neuro-critical care and neuro-anaesthesia with both fixed & flexible sessions. The candidates will be expected to participate in on-call cover on consultant rota. The department encourages its staff to adopt flexible working to enable it to deliver high quality care & service to its patients in theatres & critical care unit. It is expected that the successful candidates will be on an annualised job plan.The Walton Centre NHS Foundation Trust (WCFT) is an independent specialist neurosciences NHS Trust hospital providing a high quality, integrated and multidisciplinary neurosciences service to Merseyside, North Wales, the Isle of Man and part of West Lancashire which totals a population of 3.2 million. The Centre is adjacent to the Aintree University Hospitals.The Centre is based in a purpose built building, opened in 1998. The Centre is virtually self- contained and has about 160 neuroscience beds available to the admitting specialities of neurosurgery, neurology and pain relief though the majority are occupied by neurosurgical patients. Critical care facility comprises a 16 bedded dedicated Neuro-Intensive Care Unit and a 4 bedded high dependency area.The salary is based on the NHS England consultant pay scale.
