To reduce the costs to the business. You will identify development opportunities and proposesolutions that will allow the business to grow in line with targets.Your responsibilities as our Commercial Transport Analyst will include:

• Ensure customer profiles for all UK rail pathways are maintained
• Identify imbalance of volumes by port, equipment & end-destinations and develop target plans with Sales
• Look at volumes arriving in each region by equip. type and transport mode to balance import/export flows.
• To assess and benchmark local market on intermodal services
• Review inland haulage solutions pricing strategy agreed with senior management
• Propose changes to the Import / Export haulage tariffs to be updated in TERRA for All types of commodities and container types. Assess impact commercially any proposals from Intermodal.
• To identify new opportunities and potential to develop the infrastructure in terms of new rail pathways.
• Identify loading and delivery sites within the strategic areas by shipper controlling party and volume moved
• Cross-functional coordination with Trade, ILS & Sales
• Keep all depts up to date with market conditions (supply / demand) of overseas inland solutions and needs
• Review sales performance; based on historical performance and against budgets
• Provide sales targets to the account managers that achieve company goals / targets
• Create, analyse and maintain commercial reports geared towards identifying areas of opportunity for the sales team to pursue

Skills & qualifications required of ourCommercial Transport Analyst:

• Bachelors Degree in Shipping or similar Business field (Logistics, Business Administration, Economics etc.)
• Qualified to GCSE level or equivalent (Grade C/equivalent in English and Mathematics)
• Computer literate MS Office (Outlook,Excel, Powerpoint, Teams), Windows system
• Seeks new ways to improve current working methods
• Solutions focused
• Knowledge of LARA, LISA and TERRA
