A 12 months fixed term locum post has arisen for a band 7 Clinical Psychologist to work in the Department of Neuropsychology at The Walton Centre.The vacancy provides an excellent opportunity to develop further clinical skills in an acute neuropsychology service at a regional neuroscience centre.The role involves working with two patient groups: people with epilepsy and those with a diagnosis of functional neurological disorder (FND). Some patients will have both diagnoses. Those referred for cognitive assessment who have a diagnosis of epilepsy are predominantly having either presurgical cognitive assessments or are reporting memory problems. Those referred with an FND diagnosis require a psychological assessment with consideration of their readiness for psychological therapy if appropriate at that time.You would be joining a large team of Neuropsychologists and Clinical Psychologists.
