An exciting opportunity has arisen to expand our established award winning COPD team are seeking to recruit a Band 7 COPD nurse specialist to join the existing team of 4 nurses. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with teams within the respiratory directorate and the emergency department on the Royal site of the new Liverpool University Hospitals Foundation Trust.The team plays a pivotal role ensuring all our COPD patients receive Gold Standard Care. The team liaises very closely with all Allied Health Professionals with the Trust and the community, has close links with AED and provides cover on a 7 day basis (8-6 Mon-Fri & 8-4 BH/weekends)A vital component of this role, is to facilitate educational and training packages, deliver sessions within the care group, but will also be expected to present a national conferences to raise the profile of the excellent service that is provided.It is essential that the successful candidate has a good working knowledge of respiratory medicine and the role of the team, NIV equipment and therapies offered within the trust.
