Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting for a Registered General Nurse for a Police force in Liverpool for a full time contracted role.You MUST be a NMC Nurse to apply for this role.The main purpose of this positon to conduct Pre-employment Screening for Police Officers.Employee health nurses conduct pre-employment physical examinations to ensure that prospective employees meet the physical requirements of a job. The nurse typically begins the process by taking a thorough medical history. During the physical examination, the nurse may check a candidates hearing and vision, listen to the heart and lungs, and check the pulse and blood pressure.The nurse may also check the candidates gait and posture to identify any spine abnormalities. If the employer requires pre-employment drug testing, the nurse explains how to collect the urine specimen and labels the specimen with the candidates name or identification number.Immunisation and TestingEmployers in the healthcare industry must protect their employees from infectious diseases such as meningitis, hepatitis and influenza.These nurses also perform tuberculin skin testing, which helps identify employees who have been infected with tuberculosis bacteria. Some employers offer free health screenings to employees. An employee health nurse conducts these screenings and refers workers for additional testing if needed.Injury and Health AssessmentsEmployee health nurses assess employees who have been injured on the job. If an employee sustains a minor injury, the nurse may treat it at the work site. If an injury requires a visit to the emergency room, the nurse will provide first-aid treatment and stay with the employee until the ambulance arrives.
