Job Title: Care Worker - Waking NightsSalary: £24,960 - £26,158.08Hours: 10pm - 10am / 8pm - 8am. 4 nights per week (48 hours)Location: L7Job Type: PermanentBS Social Care have teamed up with a leading care provider in the Northwest and are looking for a Waking Nights Care Worker to join their Liverpool team.What we can offer you:- 28 days holiday in the first year, rising to 33 days from the second year (pro rata)-Essential Medical care courses (where required).-Guaranteed Contracted Hours + Paid Over Time-A Full two weeks paid Induction &Shadowing & training-Excellent employee support and benefits-DBS paid for-QCF Level 2 and 3 in Health and Social Care supported-Career progression and personal development opportunities-Employee assistance programmeMain duties and responsibilities:-Providing help with all aspects of personal care including PEG, Catheter, Epilepsy, Cerebral Palsy and Dementia.-General housekeeping e.g. cooking if required domestic duties etc.-Providing support with all aspects of end of life care.-Monitoring progress and recording notes on daily record sheets relating to each visit-To empathise and actively listen in a sensitive manner accessing appropriate additional support where necessary-To support Service Users to access appropriate health care provision as required-Adhere to regulatory standards-Able to work any waking night shift from 10pm - 10am / 8pm - 8am including bank holidays, weekends and so on. -Available for planned daytime supervisions, meeting and training as requiredEssential Skills, Experience & Attitude: -Minimum of 6mths (12 months preferred) of experience in working with adults who have learning/multiple disabilities living in the community or experience of working within a Nursing Home or Hospital setting and/or busy environment of care provider.-An understanding of the needs of adults with learning disabilities who are vulnerable within society.-A positive can do Attitude, ability and willingness to work in stressful busy environment. -Physically fit and able to undertake safe manual handling practices-Good verbal and written communication skills.-Able to liaise with day time staff and to give clear, concise and accurate handover information-Good telephone manner and good level of spoken English.-Observant and sensitive to a Service Users needs.-Ability to liaise with outside agencies and other professionals when necessary.-Ability to work autonomously and productively as part of a team-Knowledge of food hygiene/manual handling/health & safety standards and practices
