Campus Support Technician£22,000 per annum (£13,200 pro-rata)Part-time, permanent24 hours per week (0.6 FTE)SAE LiverpoolSAE is part of the Navitas Group, which is a diversified global education provider that offers an extensive range of educational services for students and professionals including university programmes, training, workforce education and student recruitment.We are looking for an experienced Campus Support Technician (with an Audio specialism) to provide technical support and guidance to students in their use of resources and equipment during practical sessions in directed and self-directed work helping themget the most out of their learning environment. This includes providing support to Campus Director in taking pride in their campus estates/facilities environment, assisting with Health and Safety in the workplace, and providing the best technical service tostudent and colleagues.Key responsibilities Offer front-line exemplary service and technical support and advice to student across the range of academic disciplines and learning environments. Support open events, trips, showcases, both on campus and at external locations, including configuring, transporting and setting up equipment. Oversee and facilitate student directed study in practical sessions. Deliver demonstrations, tutorials and practical assessments, supporting students during sessions. Maintenance of the campus, studios and other practical facilities, assisting in general campus repairs and installations as required. Responsibility for equipment and resources, resolving and reporting faults immediately. Manage and maintain the asset register/databases; tracking, organising, and distributing equipment and resources as required. Supporting campus health and safety processes and assessments.Essential Criteria Possess an appropriate qualification level in a related field, at least BA/BSc. Knowledge of and industry experience in a related discipline area.o Technical ability or willingness to learn/understand the workflows associated with hardware/software including: o Audio Production: DAW platforms including Avid Pro Tools, Logic X, Ableton, Max MSP; and hardware including SSL, Neve, Lexicon, Analogue/Digital Live Sound Systems, Yamaha. Located near the Campus, with full working rights for the UK.Desirable Criteria Technical ability or willingness to learn the about the hardware/software associated with: o Games Art Animation: Postproduction editing including Industry Standard 2D & 3D; and hardware including Motion Capture Rigs and Green Screen.o Film Production: Postproduction editing including Blackmagic URSA; and hardware including Steadicams, Lighting Rigs, Dolly Systems.o Audio/ Games Art Animation/ Web: Willing to learn to support the team with studio maintenance, equipment booking, maintenance, software, student technical support, etc. A passion for the arts.Refer to the job description for additional details about this role.Applications are to be submitted via the SAE Website, including a one-page cover letter clearly addressing the selection criteria and your CV.
