Your new clientOur client is part of a large organisation who manufacturer specific materials which are essembled and transported across the UK. They where acquired a number of years ago and since then have gone from strength to strength! An exciting opportunity has becomeavailable to work at one of their sites in Liverpool (Speke) as a Buyer / Material Controller. This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to expand on their experience, gain CIPS qualification and become an intergral part of the business.Your new roleYou will be required to work closely with another Buyer and report into the Head of Procurement. This role plays a key part of the supply chain and procurement function of the business. You will be managing the flow of materials to ensure production of goods/ services happen are happen in the correct SLAs and are cost-effective. Duties will include identifying and sourcing materials from approved suppliers, placing orders in accordance with production and inventory requirements, evaluating supplier performanceand reporting back. Other duties will include monitoring inventory levels to support production schedules, building strong working relationships with key suppliers and ensruing that lead times / prices and overall service levels are continuing to improve andresolving any issues. A key part of the role is to be able to work closely with the department to ensure that opportunities are identified for cost savings and that you can work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure the whole process runs smoothly.To be successfulOur client is looking for someone who they can invest in. Ideally, they are looking for someone with a minimum of 2 years experience in the above. It is essential that the successful candidate has strong attention to detail, excellent communication & organisationalskills. Familiarity with an ERP would be beneficial.In returnSalary up to £30,000 depending on level of experience, CIPS level 3 qualification can be offered, 23 days holiday plus BH and free parking available. Although this role is full time office based, the client can be flexible on occasions for hybrid working(1 day per week if required), Hours Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5.00pm (1 hour lunch).
