Job Description

Business Development ManagerNorth WestIT / SaaS / Cloud SolutionsMy client is currently undergoing a period of expansion that has seen them looking to bolster their existing salesforce with a commercially focused and technically minded Business Development Manager. You will be a solutions based salesperson adept at generating opportunities at C-Level with a proven track record of selling cloud services or virtual desktop infrastructureWorking in a flexible role, whether from home or my clients North West based office, you will seek to generate new opportunities through traditional business development techniques. You will be a hunter able to use your contacts and experience to find suitable and lucrative projects to tender for whilst building long term relationships to bring in repeat business.Duties of the role:

  • Generating new commercial opportunities with C-Suite decision makers
  • Devising an effective business development strategy
  • Using traditional business development methods to engage with target clients
  • Conducting client visits and web demonstrations
  • Understanding client needs and consultatively selling our portfolio of products, services and maintenace contracts
  • Producing client tenders and bespoke proposals
  • Closing deals
  • Account managing clients and building relationships
  • Renewing and retaining clients and identifying opportunities to grow accounts
  • Person specification:
  • Proven experience within a business development position is essential
  • Experience of selling a technical solution such as cloud services, VMware, virtual desktop infrastructure, SaaS or data solutions
  • A proactive hunters approach to business development
  • A demonstrable track record of success and/or network of contacts to target would be advantageous
  • A consultative sales approach
  • Strong team player
