Job Description

Were looking for an experienced Billing Analyst to join our growing Billing team. Reporting into the Head of Billing, as a Billing Analyst, you will be responsible for resolving complex queries on customer accounts, maintaining data within the billing platform, ensuring completion of bill runs in line with strict deadlines, producingmonthly reports and assisting with the integration of acquisitions.The successful Billing Analyst will relish the opportunity to join a vibrant and professional environment, where you will be rewarded for your commitment and are provided with the opportunity for further career development.Previous Billing experience desirable but is not essential; however, a good understanding of Telecoms products and services is key to be successful in this position.This is a remote position, and the successful candidate will be home based, however, there will be the option to work flexibly from one of our local hubs.   • Provide analytical support to resolve customer queries, enabling colleagues to provide excellent customer service
  • Check invoices and inventory for errors and initiate disputes with carriers
  • Assist and support various billing projects as required
  • Ensure the timely and accurate production of monthly bill runs, assisting with loading of carrier files and production and analysis of bill run sign off reports.
  • Ensure the timely and accurate addition of new charges to the billing system in line with contract information
  • Maintain and update system rate cards to ensure accuracy of automated billing processes
  • Load and rate carrier files in the billing system; provide resellers with daily CDRs (call data records)
  • Analysing large volumes of data to complete product reconciliations, ensuring accuracy as well as identifying opportunities for process improvements and contributions to EBITDA
Required Skills/Qualities:
  • Knowledge of Telecoms product and services e.g. Voice, Connect, Cloud, Cybersecurity and experience using Telecoms Billing Systems
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel (including pivot tables and VLookups)
  • Strong analytical skills, including data processing and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communications skills and the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organisation and with external contacts in person & remotely, via email & through reports
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to plan and prioritise workload efficiently and successfully perform duties under pressure.
Desirable Skills/Qualities:
  • Experience of the AKJ Billing platform.
  • Experience of using a variety of carrier portals.
  • Experience of collecting, loading and rating billing files.
