Job Description

To support the continued delivery of the operations through the delivery of a sustainable, value-adding and resilient supply chain. The role will be focused on supplier sourcing including running and overseeing regulated procurement processes so knowledgeof applicable procurement legislation, and the practical application of it, is key.Client DetailsAs a business critical to ensuring the continuation of the supply chain in the UK, we take our responsibilities seriously. The nation relies on us for the continuation for the import and export of vital goods.Description

  • To support the development and delivery of procurement plans and sourcing strategies across functional and organisation boundaries ensuring optimum value for money.
  • Engage with stakeholders to support the alignment of business strategy and policy to support the delivery of category plans.
  • Ensure legal and regulatory compliance including but not limited to the Utilities Contracts Regulations 2016.
  • Act as first point of contact for queries within the Sourcing team and provide general advice and support. To provide procurement, project and administration support across the Group.
  • Manage conflicting business priorities.
  • Provide support and timely escalation of issues.
  • Ensure commercial and procurement compliance
  • Proactively support the management and mitigation of commercial risks
  • Provide commercial expertise and guidance
  • Work collaboratively with the Supply Chain team, to ensure delivery of compliant procurement
  • Support the development and maintenance of business need and opportunity analysis, market analysis and contract strategies
  • Responsible for creation and quality assurance of sourcing documents
  • Oversee and deliver sourcing from advert to award
Profile
  • Strong work ethic with the desire to progress and develop a career within Procurement.
  • Solid Math and English skills alongside a good working knowledge of basic outlook tools.
  • Good communicator with the ability to work cohesively with the wider team to deliver business objectives.
  • Attention to detail is key with a diligent mindset and behaviour
Job Offer
