Job Introduction Assistant Accountant - Inchcape Liverpool Finance CentreFull Time - Fixed Term until 20/05/2023Based within our Centre for Excellence in Liverpool, the successful candidate will be responsible for the efficient, accurate and timely accounting for financial transactions, including the production of routine month-end reports ensuring compliance withapplicable accounting, tax, legislative and other regulatory standards. You will also be the point of contact for OEM & senior stakeholder relationships. Main Responsibilities

• Responsibility for the efficient, accurate and timely accounting for financial transactions
• Point of contact for OEM & senior stakeholder relationships. Ensure resolution of GBS / internal / external Customer / Supplier issues.
• Comply with all policies and processes ensuring adherence to the InControl Framework; act as a point of contact for internal and external audit requirements.
• Monitor housekeeping activities as performed by GBS e.g. suspense accounts, ensuring aged balances are followed up and resolved.
• Subject matter expert in allocated area / OEM on a rotation basis to ensure depth of knowledge in the team (e.g. Head Office, OEM, Balance Sheet area).
• Accountability for allocated OEM / designated specialism. Work with GBS to ensure any change, backlog or transformation covers any local / OEM requirements, and is documented correctly. Accountability for Preparation / Approval (where prepared by the offshoreteam) of relevant GL and Sub-Ledger Balance Sheet reconciliations and associated processes.

The Ideal Candidate

• Part Qualified Accountant (AAT / CIMA / ACA / ACCA)
• Ability to manage a range of external and internal customer requirements, some of which may be conflicting, with integrity and professionalism
• Strong communication skills, able to delegate effectively, prioritise requests and workload.
• Able to organise and manage your own workload to consistently deliver to deadlines and work to high standards
• Conscientious, with an ability to delve into detail.
• Responsibility for ensuring that any Franchise specific accounting is consistent with all other Franchises
• Understand the importance of fostering partnerships and good working relationships with stakeholders and internal customers
• Ability to maintain professional integrity even under pressure, understanding when to escalate.
• Operates with a strong sense of financial control and a culture of ownership and accountability
• Actively seeks to deliver a better level of service through continuous improvement
• Produce large data sets within available tools (basic / intermediate Excel), to present data back with interpretation ready to be turned into information to drive decision making.
