Injection Moulding TechnicianLittleboroughNightshift - Monday to Friday - Permanent role £31,000 + Pension + Holidays + OvertimeMy client is looking for an experienced Injection Moulding Technician to join the team on a night shift pattern. This company has experienced a steady upturn in business over the last 2-3 years with them now looking to expand and bring in an Injection Moulding Setter with a strong background in plastic/polymers to strengthen the team. Role Description *Perform programming of moulding machines that produces plastic injected parts *Troubleshoot moulding process issues (flash, short-shots, sinks, splay)*Perform mould changes and set ups within scheduled time frames*Change-out/purge and maintain material as needed.*Coordinate mould set-up activities with production schedules to minimize downtime and maximize production efficiencies.*Troubleshoot mould problems *Maintain various production and quality reports.*Perform or assist in preventative maintenance on machines and auxiliary equipment as assigned.*Observes all local and Company safety policies and procedures as well as housekeeping requirements.Skills and Qualifications *Plastics Technology or equivalent and/or at least five years related experience or training.*Mechanically inclined with experience in mould servicing/strip down clean*Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills *Licenses Required: forklift truck desirable but not necessary as training will be given.*Visual Acuity: Near acuity and required for reading and precision measuring instruments used in the inspection of parts.Company InformationAs a business our client is a true market leader within their industry with a strong presence across the UK.
