Job Description

Tyre/Exhaust TechnicianAn exciting position has become available for a full time Tyre/Exhaust Technician to join a friendly team at Litherland Tyres. The successful candidate will work 44 hours per week and will earn a starting salary of £9 per hour, which will be negotiable dependingon experience. Overtime will also be available.Role Requirements

  • Experience in an auto-care or fast-fit technician role would be an advantage
  • Experience in fitting Tyres and adjusting Wheel-alignment
  • Experienced in fitting Brakes and exhausts
  • A full UK driving licence
  • Good standard of written and spoken English
  • Able to work as part of a team
  • Able to use own initiative and take responsibility for the quality of work
Role Responsibilities
  • Changing tyres or exhausts or both
  • Checking tyres and exhaust systems for defects
  • Deflating tyres, changing them using a jack, hand-held tools and machinery, and inflating the replacement tyres
  • Balancing and re-aligning tyres using lead weights and measuring equipment
  • Raising a vehicle on ramps or driving it over a pit so that you can get underneath to work on it
  • Using hand and power tools to replace faulty exhaust parts
  • Advising customers what work needs to be done to make their vehicle roadworthy
